Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

It’s well known that BHRT improves symptoms of menopause.   The reported benefits include:

Estrogen Deficiency

When a woman transitions into peri-menopause (which can start as early as 35 years of age), hormone levels begin to decline.  Hormone deficiencies can have multiple deleterious effects on our body esp. cardiovascular, neuro-cognitive, and skeleto-muskular systems.  Here are some of the symptoms of estrogen deficiency:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Night Sweats
  • Hot flashes
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Tearfulness
  • Decreased libido
  • Vaginal Dryness
  • Vaginal itching
  • Urinary frequency, urinary incontinence or other bladder problems
  • Headaches
  • Burning or discomfort during sexual intercourse
  • Dry flaking skin
  • Increased wrinkles
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Decreased memory
  • Decreased attention span
  • Shortness of breath
  • Heart palpitations

Changes in our office hours

Due to staff shortage, the following are our new office hours:

The office is open (only staff available):

  • Monday – Wednesday and  Friday: from 9:00 – 5:00 pm.
  • Thursday: 9:00 – 4:00.
  • Every other Saturday: 9:00 – 12:00 (please call 803.233.0324 in advance to confirm).

The clinic is (with doctor present) open:

  • Every Mondays and Thursdays: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • One Saturday per Month: 10:00 – 12:00 (call in advanced for exact dates)
