How to Maintain Your Weight

Weight Maintenance doesn’t have to be hard.  The principle of weight maintenance is the same as money management.  I bet most of you are not in financial bankruptcy now.  Ask yourself how you stayed out of financial bankruptcy?  The answer is simple: you check your financial statement and then you spend your money accordingly.  So how do we stay out of “weight bankruptcy” (=weight gain)?  You need to look at your “weight balance statement” (going on a scale to see how much you weigh) regularly.  If you do so 2-3 times  a week, most likely, you won’t gain weight.

Let me show you how I maintain my weight.  First of all, I set an ideal weight for me (165 lbs).  I’ll allow my weight to fluctuate between 160 to 165 lbs.  On the weekends, I enjoy myself (eating and drinking like everybody else).  I tend to gain 2-3 lbs over a weekend.  Monday through Friday, I watch my diet very carefully.  I eat protein bars (for breakfast and lunch), drink water (green tea) and I do not go out for lunch.  I usually eat 2-3 HealthWise protein bars a day (the kind we have in the office.  I like them.), with the last one in late afternoon.  I eat a healthy light dinner between 6-7 pm.  I tend to lose 2-3 lbs between Monday and Friday.  Then weekend comes, I enjoy foods again.  By doing so, I don’t gain weight and I don’t feel deprived.  Often times my friends would ask me why I seem to eat a lot and yet I don’t gain much weight.  I tell them how I used the way described above to maintain my weight.  If you follow my advice, you won’t have trouble maintaining weight either.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) improved on hCG

Wendy (63031) came back to the office to continue her hCG weight loss after her delivery of a healthy baby 3 months ago.  She reported that her overall health (energy and mood levels) improved significantly on hCG diet.  Also, her MS exacerbations decreased while on hCG and during her pregnancy.  She was diagnosed to have MS over 10 years years.  She reports that she would have `2 exacerbations each year in at least the 2-3 years prior to her starting of hCG diet with us.  In the 2 years since her starting hCG diet in March 09 and throughout her pregnancy, she had only 1 milder exacerbation of MS.  This is another case suggesting possible hCG’s effects on improving autoimmune disease.

The observed effects of hCG

In our clinical experience of over 7000 patients, we have seen the following effects of hCG on people.  This list is not proven by clinical trials, but they are our clinical observations.

  • Weight loss, esp. the loss of abnormal fat around the belly, the buttock, and the thighs.
  • Reduced body pains and aches, including migraine headaches, joint, back and neck pains, even stomach and breast pains.
  • Balanced hormones.  Peri- and post-menopausal women with hot flashes feel so much better on hCG.  PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) patients, who have irregular menstruation cycles and are often not able to get pregnant due to their imbalanced  hormones, found their periods to be more regular.  A handful of my PCOS patients have pleasantly got pregnant on hCG which they have tried in the past without success.
  • Improved autoimmune disorders.   Thyroid disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, even irritable bowel syndrome.  There is probably no better treatment than our combination therapy including hCG for chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
  • Improved sex drive.  This is probably due to hCG’s stimulation of testosterone production.
  • Improved depression.  Many patients with mild to moderate depression feel much improved on our therapy.
  • Improved wound healing.  We have seen quite a few patients with broken bones or other wounds to report that their wound healed up much faster.  This ability of hCG can have huge socioeconomic impact.  We definitely need more research into this.  Think about how much money we can save on nationwide hospital patients if we use hCG to speed up their wound healing (post surgery and others) to get them out of the hospital one day earlier?  World wide?  The health impact?  We definitely need more funding in this type of research.  One great area of clinical trial is the diabetic ulcer patients.  This is relatively easy to do, but with huge clinical impact.
  • Anti cancer.  hCG has been implicated in the treatment of certain type of cancers.

The list will expand in the future, with more and more doctors adapt hCG in their clinical practice and more and more patients start using hCG in their treatment.   I will describe in my next blog about why I think hCG can have these different effects.

Why can hCG help you lose weight (1).

In today’s weight loss world, probably there is nothing more controversial than hCG. Many so called medical experts don’t believe in hCG in weight loss. Yet more and more medical clinics in the US are adapting hCG in their weight loss protocols and more and more patients use this product. In our clinics, we have been using hCG in helping our patients to lose weight for many years. We are the first in Columbia, SC and one of the earlier ones nationwide to adapt the hCG into our weight loss protocols. We have achieved excellent results. Most of our patients lose more than 20 lbs in the first month and about 50 lbs weight loss in 3 months. We have patients who have been on this diet for over a year and lost more than 150 lbs and achieved excellent health (improvement in hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, joint pains etc).

If hCG is so wonderful, then why is the controversy?

I believe this has to do with the complexity of the causes of obesity.

How does hCG work in our body is not entirely clear. But hCG appears to have a wide variety of effects on our body. hCG does not directly cause us to lose weight, instead, it helps in the weight loss in a very significant way. (to be continued).

hCG May Offer Protection Against Breast Cancer

“The concept that hCG protects against breast cancer is based on epidemiology, animal studies, culture experiments, and clinical research that reported reduced breast cancer risk in nonobese women who took hCG as a part of a weight-loss regimen.”

Abstract: Recent studies found that human and animal breast tissues and human breast cell lines contain low levels of receptors that bind hCG and its structural and functional homologue, LH. Those gonadotropins exert numerous anticancer effects in breast cancer models and cells, which might explain decreased breast cancer incidence in women who complete full-term pregnancies at a young age. The new findings also imply that premature chronic elevations of LH levels might contribute to decreased breast cancer incidence in women with early menopause, and elevated LH levels might contribute to a better prognosis after ovariectomy. Those findings predict that breast cancer risk might be reduced by early hCG treatment of women who plan to delay their first pregnancies; prophylactic hCG treatment might help women with family histories of breast cancer or oncogene mutations that predict breast cancer; and better prognoses might result when hCG is administered to breast cancer tissue.
